About:

Context is very relevant for transdisciplinary research processes, as well as the interpretation and transfer of results produced in these processes. A comprehensive understanding of context can help outlining the specific conditions of a research project and choosing as well as adapting suitable methods.
The aims of this workshop are to create awareness for relevant context factors in transdisciplinary research projects, provide insight into experiences from transdisciplinary research projects how to consider context factors and create a space for reflection.

Program:

  • Introduction into the relevance of context in relation to transdisciplinary research
  • Presentation of a typology of context factors and their potential influence on the research process as well as the societal and scientific effects
  • Reflection on context factors in different projects
  • Identification and discussion of context factors in the own project
  • Development of concrete next steps for the own project
